Tulip 'Shell' is a striking and beautiful double early tulip with large, fully-double blooms that resemble peonies. The petals are a rich, velvety red with bright, sunny yellow edges, creating a stunning contrast that is sure to draw attention. As a double early tulip, 'Shell' blooms early in the spring, typically in April or early May, and is well-suited for planting in garden borders, beds, or containers.

Plant in any garden soil with good drainage. Tulips may be left in the soil (but flowering degenerates); they can also be lifted after the foliage fades, stored at normal summer temperature and replanted in autumn. Bulbs grown from cultivated stock.
